SUMMER WEDDINGS

European Hand-Tied Bouquet

Nothing says "Summer" better than bright, vibrant tropical colors. Whether you are having your wedding on a North Carolina Beach, a far-away Island or in a local church or venue, this bouquet style is versatile for all types of weddings. The orange, yellow, red, fuchsia and purple hues work with most all color schemes of wedding party attire. The Stock, Hypericum Berries, Roses, Freesia, and Ranunculus come in all different colors to modify the mix for your taste. The billy balls (Craspedia) come only in yellow, but make a bright and fun addition to the bouquet. This European-styled bouquet makes an impressive display in a low, wide vase as a re-purposed sweetheart or head table centerpiece. With it's criss-crossed design, the bouquet stands upright by itself, but does need water to stay fresh throughout the celebration. This bouquet can be created for a Bride or the Bridesmaids in any size or price-range.

SUMMER WEDDINGS

Traditional Nosegay Bouquet

One of the most vibrant color-combinations, fuchsia and orange, will brighten up any room, and POP in the wedding photos against almost any color dress. These Roses, Spray Roses, Asters and Zinnias come in many different colors as well if the colors need adjusting. This is still very popular style of b-k is the most economical bouquet for a Florist to create. Depending on the flowers, designers can make a nosegay bouquet for anywhere from a $15 Toss Bouquet toss $150 and above Bridal bouquet. This style is frequently-used for larger wedding party's when you need to leave room in the budget for flowers in other areas at the wedding. The Nosegay also works well for re-purposing as centerpieces; especially if you have 7-10 bridesmaids AND 7-10 reception tables. All hand-tied bouquets should be delivered in vases of water to keep them fresh, so the vase choice can easily be planned ahead so it works well on the tables later. Another budget tip is to decorate a second set of vases with ribbon or bling and have your Florist set these out on the reception tables pre-filled with fresh, clear water upon delivery so they are ready-to-go for the wedding party bouquets. This saves the trouble of remembering to bring the vases of water from the ceremony location to the reception location.

SUMMER WEDDINGS

Baby's Breath Bouquet

This bundle of fluffy, white blooms has definitely made a come-back! We used to see Baby's Breath as only an accent filler in between Roses. For at least the last 10 years, couples have been choosing this proverbial Florist staple to stand on its own as the main Flower in wedding party bouquets and centerpieces. There are many different varieties of Baby's Breath, which make it possible to use it in the backyard barbecue wedding ( the larger variety) AND the more formal affair (the smaller, more elegant blooms).

Baby's Breath still works well with other Flowers in a bouquet to add a more country look, like this one below with Sunflowers, Delphinium, Solidago and Monte Casino.
